STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN SANTA BARBARA

A serendipitous image as I was sitting outside a bakery in Santa Barbara, California, one morning eating the best quiche I had ever had in my life.  I was captured by the geometry of light on the edges of the stairway and the planters with their perfectly imperfect flowering plants.  It’s like the plants were saying, “We aren’t the perfect beautiful flowers you might expect, but we’re here…deal with it.”
